Keeping the Guru Shishya Paramapara in continuation, FDCI and Amazon dedicated the Grand Finale to Guru Tarun Tahiliani and Shishya Amit Aggarwal. Amit started his creative journey with Tarun Tahiliani, and learnt the art and imbibed it with his original ideas. As we learnt while growing up, that a Guru is most pleased to see when his disciple does extremely well in respective field. Same I saw in the eyes and gesture of Tarun Tahiliani, as he gave the beautiful nature inspired ramp to Amit first.

Day 3 of Amazon India Fashion Week SS,17 saw the shiny, the brightest of India Modern Festive collection, a theme which Amazon is promoting on their famous e-com site. Here is a glimpse of it:

This quote of Wayne Dyer, the self-help author and motivational speaker, seems so apt for the fashion week. Since every act, every move has a purpose, so has Fashion Design Council of India and Amazon.in has come together with a purpose of upliftment of fashion designers and weavers. As I mentioned in the first day coverage, that through the show of Sanjay Garg and Vaishali S. the foundation of betterment of handlooms and its weavers has begun, but till the final day, it created an impact on buyers. Designers exchanged their farewell to each other on a happy note. Most of them have either closed the deals, or in the process of the same.

You might have seen the business cycle or story telling cycle, it says that whatever begins reaches its boom; day 3 is definitely the boom day for Amazon India Fashion Week. Its mid-way, hence designers and buyers gets active and serious (though they are always in this phase) to the peak. Number of shows is the highest on this day. Day 3 witnessed lots of experiments with fabrics, cuts, style.

The latest season of Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer,2016 began with loads of fun, vigour and fervour. The five days extravaganza was held at NSIC Ground and the whole ground was constructed specially to match the aesthetics of the event. It was looking like a beach, the MSA were specially constructed like huge huts, the waiting area was done up like a deck area with lights and live music. The ambiance was young & peppy. Everyone was enjoying being there and being himself/herself in best of their attires.

The ‘día último’ or the final day of Amazon India Fashion Week arrived. The week seems very successful, very postitve as buyers stayed till the last days. Designers shared that the silver jubilee season brought lots of new buyers and fashion connoisseurboth international & domestic. To me, the parting brings sinking feeling. For five days, we are among the best of creative minds, best of stylish people,leaving lots of memories to cherish. This season gave me a chance to meet and discuss fashion and its journey with Zandra Rhodes (the renowned textile & fashion designer), Robyn Beech (International photographer) and Andrew Logan (one of Britain’s principal sculptural artists).
