In a continuous endeavour to bring new things, freshness to the way fashion is perceived in India, FDCI has created another avenue apart from designing fashion only. FDCI organised Model Hunt to bring new faces on the ramp. Judges of the event were Ashish N. Soni, Rohit Gandhi, Poonam Bhagat and Rakesh Thakore. They shared that they looked for attitude, style & panache among the girls while judging. These girls will walk the ramp for Amazon India Fashion Week.

Paris is in love with Rahul Mishra’s creations. In a row, Rahul is all set to showcase his latest collection at Paris Fashion Week on 11th March,2015. Known for bringing a revolution in sustainable fashion and aesthetics, Rahul is the first Indian to win International Woolmark Prize at Milan Fashion Week in 2014.
“It’s time to say goodbye, but I think goodbyes are sad and I’d much rather say hello. Hello to a new adventure.”
Last day of WIFW arrived. Every designer seemed pleased and hopeful for better business; some busy in closing deals, some busy in exploring new markets, some are heading for new adventure. But everybody was satisfied, as All’s well that ends well. Its time to say goodbye and thank you to each other, isn’t it.

Fashion always was a huge interest of mine. I love beautiful clothes. I appreciate fine beading and lovely fabrics.
Day 4 of Will India Fashion Week saw balance between old and new. The young designers showed their creative best and experimented with fabrics and colours, whereas the stalwart of fashion industry Wendell Rodriques restricted himself to white and designs as simple as possible.
Here is my pick of day 4:
Sahil Kochhar – Dhoop Chhao: Sahil stole my heart by his gracious collection. The feel of fabrics and beautiful detailing from Mathura, was making the collection so wearable and unique.
Urvashi Kaur – ZIRAN-Comfortable breathing fabric and ties and dyes gave the collection a must have look for coming spring summer.
Vineet Bahl – Malhaar- Vineet’s collection has calming effect as Raag Malhaar has. The collection was very elegant, gracious, wearable-everything.
Raakesh Agarvwal – Chic & Stylish designs.
Wendell Rodriques: Yoga Calm: “Never be so busy as not to think of others.”

Wendell Presented his collection to support handloom weavers, handloom-a fading art. The collection was calm and serene as visible from following pics.

Day 3 was a busy busy day. So many shows, every show was unique with its own USP. What was very aspirational to see that every designer is exploring world, nature, human complexes and many avenues before putting it to their creations. Designers take it so seriously that it reflects in their outstandingly beautiful dresses.
Here is my pick of Day 3:-
Tanvi Kedia-Tanvi’s detailing is masterpiece, she does fusion at its best. She uses Indian colors, fabrics, and embroideries of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kutchh and design her tunics and silhouettes. Her collection was called Tabibito.

Day 4 of India Couture week showcased Manish Arora and Gaurav Gupta’s collections. It was experimentative and edgy. Here is my pick of Day 4:
Manish Arora-Riots of colors, global styling with a difference is the salient features of Manish’s show.
Gaurav Gupta: Ever experimaentative Gaurav’s collection showed extensive detailing in gold.The style was catchy and very much in.
