“A wedding dress is both an intimate and personal for a woman – it must reflect the personality and style of the bride.”
Carolina Herrera
Reynu Taandon’s latest offering at India Couture Week ‘Kamangari’ is inspired from the beauty and grandeur of Rajasthan. ‘KAMANGARI’ is a Rajasthani word which means a beautiful young woman! While researching for close to four months in the state, Reynu found that all the rich and reputed young women make their own dresses by themselves. They do ‘gota-patti’ work by themselves. Keeping in mind their articulate-ness, Reynu has designed the collection keeping the vintage and regal element intact, but given it a contemporary look. Reynu Taandon says that her collection is for the new age bride-a girl that redefines the conventional bridal fashion with all that is modern along with an imperial twist. Actor Producer Divya Khosla Kumar walked as the showstopper for her show. The beautiful jewellery was by Sunar Jewels.
