Rohit Bal Showcases His Everyday Couture at Indian Wedding Show

Its raining wedding shows and exhibitions in Delhi – Believe me! Earlier there used to be 2 to 3 shows or exhibitions in the capital, but this year it has toppled like 2-3 big events per week- thanks to big fat wedding concept of ours. Though its good to be competitive, maintaining good quality is equally important. Hence I became choosy in covering the events and picking the stories for my blog.  During recent Indian Wedding Show, Rohit Bal showcased his everyday couture, which caters to bigger market- bigger audience, which aspire or dream to have a Rohit Bal ensemble in her/his wardrobe, in their not so huge budget.

Also known as ‘Balance’, the show  put together the elements of understated fashion, which transforms the signature Rohit Bal couture to everyday couture. The subtle nuances of the collection highlight the intricacies of the embroidery and an array of organic fabrics in the likes of muslin, chanderi, velvets, linen with the juxtaposition of handwork which are deep-rooted in the culture of the country, including Zardosi, Ari, and block prints. With ornate floral motifs and meticulous hand-work, the outfits possess clean and sharp silhouettes which can add charm to any event one wears it to.

The practicality of the toned-down couture wear astutely imparts a bold contemporary vibe to the bespoke collection. Balance, without substituting the enhanced elegance of the Rohit Bal couture collections, brings together the absolute best of mid-range couture wear. The collection itself speaks of the veteran designer’s impeccable eye for the opulence and unfailing beauty of the right fabric along with the captivating hand embroidery.

Mohnish Kabir Malhotra celebrated the pre-party of the Festive/Winter’17 collection launch which was was attended by the Crème de la crème of Delhi including Ramola Bachchan, Vikram Baidyanath, Dhruv Kapoor, Reshma Punj, Dayawanti Punj, Aruna Sharma, Mats Kuuskemaa, Rohini Killough amongst others. On this momentous occasion, Mohnish Kabir Malhotra said & I quote , “It was an incredible experience launching our Festive/Winter’17 collection of Balance by Rohit Bal at the Indian Wedding Show. The collection was well received, I am really happy with the response. ”

Balance, with utmost finesse and panache, effectively mends the gap between couture wear and occasion wear. Its available at all Balance stores including my favorite Qutub Boulevard at Mehrauli.
