“Beauty is truth’s smile when she beholds her own face in a perfect mirror.” Gurudeb Rabindranath Tagore
Ace Couturier Suneet Varma showcased his couture ‘Sitara’ on day 5 of ICW, 2022. By now,ICW has come to midway. Sitara, which means star is Suneet Varma’s ode to modern woman who knows what she wants. She knows what choices she wants to make, and what to leave.
The collection was a modern and Theatrical representation of the modern Indian woman who lives in the today – yet embraces the romance of traditional Indian couture. It has its own vocabulary and language, like an elaborate braid entwined with history, myth, and tradition. It may be modern, Whimsical, or demure- but always magnificent and carefully crafted. The Mix of Traditional Motifs with Abstract artworks enhanced by the age-old Crafts of India makes for a Perfect – Feminine, Romantic and Modern Woman.
Suneet Varma showcased his signature style, like pastel with elaborate work and bling. This time, he used red, rather he began his show with red. Paired with statement pieces, every creation made the models look diva.
Suneet introduced jewellery brand Aulerth, the statement pieces were complementing couture at its best. But Suneet Varma and the CEO of Aulerth shared the story behind the statement pieces, which was as surprising as could be. The jewellery all recycled, from metal to stones- Mr.Vivek, CEO- Aulerth told that everything in recycled with global standards, and they are Nickel Free. Suneet Varma shared that one documentary on Gold mining changed his view towards using gold for jewellery. The pollution and harm to nature gold mining mafias do, is irreparable. As a responsible citizen, both Suneet & Vivek found way to accessorise modern women.
