Day 3: Tribes of the World Come Together to Celebrate Handloom

We live in a paradox called ‘life’. We keep marching towards our future, but we have to equally respect our past, our heritage. We are what we respect, we are what we long for! – Anonymous

Day 3 was my favourite day as most of the designers used handloom. Munkee.See.Munkee.Doo sourced handloom from as far as Manipur! Designer Abhi Singh had beautifully intertwined his design sensibility with refined textures and innovative crafts.     Rich draping and inventive craftsmanship completed with impeccable fit and finish. Payal Pratap’s love for handloom is famous, and sheused handloom linen cotton and khadi. A gradation of handwoven gingham checks, bold handloom plaids, a play of stripes and checks with selvedge details Fern and foliage prints, water colour hand painted ivy prints, vintage twig and branch prints.

Sanjukta: Sanjukta presented a  variety of signature Mekhela Chador, structured saree, flowy-gowns, drape-skirts and indo-western lehengas. All in north east handloom.
