My love for handloom is proven by my older posts- but with this post I wanted to ask myself that does this love brings any positive change to fading handloom industry. Since long, it seems handloom industry needs radical changes to make its reach to the heart of today’s generation. Today in a globalized world, there are not only competition of retaining the traditional values, there are many options available in market both economic and global in appeal. Hence, even the weaver fraternity need to change their approach towards the ever changing market. I appreciate the commitment Fashion Design Council of India shows towards this humongous task, and Amazon, the title sponsor of this bi-annual extravaganza thoroughly supports its ideology.
