Amazon India Fashion Week,AW15 Grand Finale: As Spectacular As it Could Be!

Is Raqs-e-Raunaq ka kya kahiye,

Yu lage ki sitare utar aaye hai zameen pe!

The Grand Finale of AIFW was kept as surprise in the beginning as it carried so much expectancy being 25th show of 25th edition of India Fashion Week. The day arrived, the show arrived, as soon as we entered and had a glimpse of the ramp with ‘Mehrab’ like look,and live folk singing by Janab Kutle Khan sahib, we became more curious for whats coming next. Grand Finale had 25 designers showcasing 100 crafts of India through their 50 ensembles, means two designs each. The show began with Wendell Rodriques, the patron of handloom fabrics, followed by Rahul Mishra and 23 more ace designers. The list is as follows: Abraham & Thakore, Amit Agarwal, Anamika Khanna, Aneeth Arora, Anju Modi, Ashish Soni, Gaurav Gupta, JJ Valaya, Manish Arora, Manish Malhotra, Monisha Jaising, Namrata Joshipura, Pankaj & Nidhi, Raghavendra Rathore, Rahul Mishra, Rajesh Pratap Singh, RG+RK, Rina Dhaka, Ritu Kumar, Rohit Bal, Sabyasachi, Suneet Varma, Tarun Tahiliani, Varun Bahl and Wendell Rodricks.

The show was as grand, as spectacular as it could be! I simply can’t imagine anything better than this, and so much could be done while keeping red as base colour. Every design was greeted by wow, look at this!, kind of reaction from our media fraternity. In the end, the show received an standing ovation with lots of cheers around, filling up the hall with loads of positive energies.
